Celebration Of Success


July 23rd saw Varsity College Port Elizabeth hosting its 7th annual Celebration of Success. The aim of the Celebration of Success is to celebrate the 2014 top students’ academic excellence.

At this function the top academic achievers are saluted for the previous year’s academic results based on their module distinctions and/or distinction average which is a distinction average of 75% average or above for a full module complement across all modules for the year of study. A total of 21 students with a total on 153 distinctions received this award.

Catherine Louw, Vice Principal of Student Support of Varsity College Port Elizabeth said: “The Celebration of Success encourages students to strive for academic excellence whilst studying at Varsity College. It is truly a highlight on the Academic calendar and bears testimony to our students’ academic commitment - a just reward for all their hard work and endeavor. It is always a pleasure to be part of an event such as the Celebration of Success. There is a sense of acknowledgement and excitement amongst our top achievers. Truly an inspiration!”
