WHOLE LOTTA LAUGHS FOR A GOOD CAUSE
Friday the 22nd of August saw the Whole Lotta Laughs Comedy Fundraiser hosted by Varsity College Port Elizabeth featuring Gino Fabbri and Alida Senekal. The event was a great success raising a total of R40 000 towards Varsity College 2014 Corporate Social Initiative - Supplying Heatherbank Primary School with a mobile library unit and media centre. The Heatherbank Primary School is a NPO for underprivileged children from the Walmer Township.
Ellen Lovemore, Principal of Heatherbank Primary School says: “I have seen that by sponsoring one child's education, it changes an entire community. Let's change our country, one child at a time”.
Gino Fabbri certainly had his audience entertained and bursting with laugher. The sold out event was enjoyed by his audience and proved to be a Whole Lotta Laughs for a cause. “The two hour show introduced new characters, continued the stories of some old favorites, incorporated audiovisual interaction with side-splitting consequences, which provided another feel-good rollercoaster end to a light-hearted show”.
