As part of their ongoing community engagement project, Varsity College Port Elizabeth hosted its annual trash fashion show on the 9th of April.
10 of Varsity College’s top 20 Mr and Miss VC contestants modelled their garments which they designed and made for the event. The contestants were given the chance to use their imaginations and get creative in order to create fashionable garments out of everyday trash. The emphasis of the trash fashion show was not only to create awareness on how waste can negatively affect the environment, but to also encourage one and all to reduce, reuse and recycle
