A Law Information Evening was hosted at Varsity College Sandton for LLB students. The evening gave the students the opportunity to engage with legal activist Michael Tshishonga.
Mike Tshishonga spoke about his experience in both justice systems of the former Republic of Venda as well as the South African Department of Justice and Constitutional Development during the administration of former president Thabo Mbeki. Mike’s testimony confirmed his personal commitment to justice and epitomising the notion of a ‘fit and proper person’ - a requirement for admission to all legal offices. Mike impressed upon the audience and particularly the students that the law as it appears in books must to be internalised so that it becomes part of one’s makeup and mind-set.
