WIN YOUR SHARE OF R100,000 IN PRIZES WITH THE IIE’S VARSITY COLLEGE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS’ QUIZ!
Grade 11 learners’ knowledge on subjects ranging from geography, history, science & nature, sport, entertainment and current affairs will be tested during the much-anticipated annual National High Schools’ Quiz. With questions designed to reflect the latest trends in academia and to challenge the students to put their critical thinking caps on, The IIE’s Varsity College’s National High Schools’ Quiz is more than just a competition, it is a platform that brings together the brightest young minds across the country, allowing them to showcase their knowledge and compete with like-minded peers.
The quiz, which consists of 3 rounds, will be run digitally in each venue via the Kahoot App, and participants will need a smartphone or a tablet to answer the questions. The first round will take place on Wednesday, 13th August 2025, on all eight of The IIE’s Varsity College campuses. The top ten learners from each campus event will advance to a regional final to be held in Gauteng (Midrand), KZN (Durban North), Nelson Mandela Bay and Cape Town. The top eight learners from the regional finals will meet at the National Grand Finale to be held in Cape Town on Saturday, 13th September 2025.
Participants, teachers/parents and schools from across the country stand a chance to win great prizes too. The eight national finalists will each receive a Samsung tablet as well as a cash prize. The national winner will receive a cash prize of R10,000.00. The national winner’s school will receive a cash prize of R50,000.00 and the national winner’s teacher will receive a cash prize of R6,000.00.
High schools from across the country are encouraged to register their grade 11 learners for the National High School Quiz. Entries close on 31st July 2025.
