Registered with Canoeing South Africa, is part of the offering at the Cape Town, Nelson Mandela Bay, Durban North, and Pietermaritzburg campuses. The two disciplines that the club focuses on are canoeing and surfskiing. From the excitement of the white waters of the Fish River to the freedom of the ocean’s down winds, canoeing and surfskiing are action- packed and healthy outdoor sports. The highlight of the canoeing calendar is the National USSA Canoeing Champs during the Fish River Canoe Marathon every year – the Canoe Club has consistently been placed in the top 3 over the past 8 years.

Each of our campus Canoe Clubs are equipped with canoes, surf skis and paddles, allowing beginners to get involved without huge financial commitment. Aside from the great social aspect, there is also a competitive side to the Canoe Club, with students taking part in various events locally and internationally.
