The Hockey Club got the ball rolling in 2014, providing an opportunity for students from all three KZN campuses to become members. The club’s home base is in Durban North and boasts three men’s and three women’s teams, catering for both social and competitive players. Both the men’s and women’s 1st and 2nd teams play in the competitive KZNHA outdoor and indoor super leagues.

The club’s achievements are largely due to our coaches’ dedication and expertise, and the effort of our players. The highlight of the year is the annual USSA Hockey tournament where our men’s and women’s teams are in the A section fighting for a spot in the Varsity Hockey competitions. Quality coaching produces quality players, and in the last few years we have had several South African national and provincial representatives at both senior and age group level.
