With outposts in Cape Town, Durban North, Westville and Nelson Mandela Bay, the Surfing Club boasts surfers that are among South Africa’s best. Most campuses offer a “Learn to Surf” programme and surfboards are provided for those who don’t yet have their own.

Advanced sessions are available for experienced surfers, as is the opportunity to represent The IIE’s Varsity College at the annual USSA event in Victoria Bay, where we’ve built a formidable reputation. In the last 3 years, the team has achieved podium placings, but it’s in the individual results the team has shown complete dominance, winning numerous gold medals. This talent, passion and dedication to the “Learn to Surf” programmes is what feeds this club.
